I finally managed to get some decorations up this week and we carved pumpkins and roasted seeds last night. My pumpkin turned out...okay. Not as good as I would have liked. I didn't trace the stencil well enough and it moved and I didn't realize it until I started carving...whoops!
Anyway...I created a couple of book themed pumpkin stencils, that I think will work. There are some very narrow lines, so you will probably need to thin the pumpkin wall if you have a thick pumpkin. I have not tried these yet, as I don't have more pumpkins, but I think they should work...if nothing else maybe they'll inspire some fun ideas.

These are what they should look like (theoretically, lol) on a pumpkin. The PDF has the actual files you can print, if interested. The dark areas (yellow in the mock ups) will be what you remove.
